Community Enrichment - Simplified Strength Training

$20.00

Conversation Leader: Trish Kana, PT, DPT

Sunday, July 13th

1:00 - 3:00PM

In-person & ZOOM

There is an abundance of exercise information available but can often be tricky to know what to focus on. What can we trust? How do we get started? Excitingly, we have a discussion leader, Trish, who will guide us in comprehending this subject better. She will simplify creating a workout plan by highlighting 4 essential principles that will help you create a sustainable strength program. Guidance on nutrition to support this type of training will also be provided. Strength training can help each and every one of us no matter what our goals are, and I invite you to join us in building a stronger foundation of knowledge to get stronger together.

Trish joins us from Starting Line in Portland. She originally graduated from Providence College with a bachelors in marketing, but soon found her love for movement in her post-graduate life in Colorado where she did a lot of hiking, skiing, and yoga. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New England in 2023 and has been committed to helping people not only recover from an injury, but get stronger, healthier, and develop better habits for future injury prevention.

Do you have questions in advance? Send them along via the CONTACT tab and we’ll address as many as we can during our time together.

Plan on a casual gathering of learning, conversation, and a little bit of movement (so you can dress in comfy clothes). Bring your favorite camp/lawn chair and make yourself at home here in the yard.

Please plan to attend via Zoom if you’re unable to attend in person. Also, in the case of inclement weather, this circle will transition to ZOOM.

We are currently operating as a community organization and as success continues, we hope to officially file for 501c3 status.
